One option, of course, would be to take an EMBA anyway. I did the EMBA at LBS, and at least one of my classmates was studying full-time in practice. He made the most of full-time electives and life on campus. Since LBS now allows a 12-month option for the full-time MBA perhaps you could complete all the course work quickly?
There are courses aimed at mid-career people; Stanford MSx, USC IBEAR, Nanyang Fellows and Sloan Fellows. There are also schools with slightly older cohorts, such as IMD, Cranfield and the four quarter MBA at Kellogg. Warwick has allowed people to accellerate the pace at which they take the EMBA, to complete in one year, and I think EDHEC and the IAE Aix EMBA does that.
