Depends. Usually you'd want to study where you want to work, and I would think that a school like HKUST has better connections with employers with Hong Kong than LBS or Columbia. However, those two schools have really robust networks as well, so maybe they do have a lot of recruiters in Hong Kong, although I'd imagine that HK is not necessarily their primary focus.

But, depending on what kind of firms you want to work in, an LBS --> HK move isn't out of the question. Banks and other large financial organizations most definitely will have a presence in London, so you'd be able to network and maybe even land a job while you're in school. This is not unusual, if you're looking at large financial services companies.

Thank you. Yes, international experience is valued in my company and others in the sector. That's why I'm looking at LBS, and, to a lesser degree, Columbia. A big decision for sure. I will most likely apply to all three schools.
