Europe-Yes
America-No

4.Expenses
Europe-Less
America-More

5.Branding & Cooperate Acceptance
Europe-Less
America-More

America-Unconditional

7.Chance of Employment
Europe-Fair
USA-Good

Europe-2 years or Less
America-Unconditional

America- H1B is super tough to get

7.Chance of Employment
Europe- super BAD!
USA- BAD!

9.Quality of Life
Europe- racism is still a problem
America- racism cases moderately lower

10.Entertainment
Europe- Beautiful cities, unlimited chance to country-hopping
America- Sports, concerts, movies, celebrities.

11.Salary level
Europe- Lower (especially in PIIGS countries)
America-Higher (but expectedly will come down)

12.Tax level
Europe- 45%- 50%
America- 35%

not to forget,

US Tier2 schools are equivalent to Uk Tier1 schools

just confused, hav got into bradford, thinking bradford, or usa/canada next year...

any suggestions? u joined any school?

I will be joining an MBA program in toronto, canada.
Why canada? Friendly immigration law and I can get a good chance to obtain a permanent residency so I can borrow money from bank (and pay cheaper domestic fee).

Financing is an important factor to me. So I have to borrow money from bank.

How about you?

If you have an MBA, you can obtain Tier1-post grad visa.
It lasts 3 year.

In the past, I almost apply for U.K. Tier1-skilled worker visa.
But I am afraid of my potential to obtain job after I graduate in U.K.

Btw, yes, I am joining Rotman.

i think this is great,n rotman would be tht way good...

i am planning for the same,no more uk for me, i am scared of work permit issues...

as i am already late, i will take up jan intake or sep, will plan for 2011..

Unfortunately, no scholarship for me.
Therefore, I need to budget my study very well.
If you are planning to join MBA in 2011.
My advice is start very early. Aim for 1st round, because if you feel you want to apply to another school in 2 nd round, you still have the chance.

Another advice would be learning the immigration law of the country you intend to study.

I was following this post. I wanted to know the job visa after completing post graduate studies in US is given for how long? I heard that there is something called OPT that comes after graduation is available for about 1 year. We can work without H1b etc during this period and need to find an emplyer within that 1 year to file for H1b. Is this true?

In my opinion, 1 year MBA is the only advantage of studying in UK/Europe. US has more oppurtunities after graduation. LAnguage is also a big constraint in Europe.

Most of the good MBA programs in Europe are taught in English. Language only becomes a factor when looking for internships during the program, but there are some companies who will take English language interns.

After the MBA is finished, there is nothing keeping you in the country where the school is located. MBA skills are in demand everywhere. Taking an MBA in a foreign country might even give you a leg up when applying for jobs at a multinational company. It is all about how you market yourself.

For diversity I'm still inclined to choose England and in terms of business school, I would choose Warwick Business School. If getting a permit is going to be difficult you could always enroll on their distance learning program- it's ranked 3rd in the world by The Economist Intelligence Unit.
