I've recently began looking at the possibility of doing an MBA - my father has done an MBA and advised that it would it be a good course to continue my development over the next few years.
I don't have a business background prior to my role in recruitment, which was my first job after completing my degree(STEM subject) from a non Russell Group University. I have been fairly successful since then with 3+ years of experience in recruitment but it's not something I want to do forever. I believe that an MBA would provide me with a strong means of development and support the possibility to change career and enter consulting for a big firm.
Ideally, I would be looking to do a part time course in London but I understand how important prestige is and I believe that ideally will need a business school from the top 100 for the MBA to be truly worth its value in gold for me.
I will get about hit the threshold of experience for the likes of Warwick/City/Imperial but don't have the capital right now to self finance.
Is it better waiting a year or two and re-evaluating? Or am I being too snobbish and should I be more open and consider unis such as University of Westminster/Brunel?
Others have said that I should consider as I can afford the fees and would be able to start this year but I'm just not sure if that's the best option.
