Gsus, I wrote you such a great reply but it got deleted!
So I'll try to briefly explain.
1. there are 3 programs in Israel which U should consider.
A. Recanati-the best. Well known for its srudy and netwroeking after graduation.
B- The hebrew University at Jerusalem-the same as TLV but second best.
C-IDC- I graduated my B.A in business and marketing which is the best because once you pay here, you get value for money program unlike TLV university's B.A which people I met envy me so because I studied at the IDC and they studied at TLV and said that eventually the whole studying experience is different and were not satisfied. But for MBA it's different due to the higher prices of the program at TLV.
D-Technion- I would reccomend you not to go there because as I wrote in my earlier post, it is more engineer oriented+loust networking. I would go to the IDC only because the networking is better there.
Another thing you probably know about our little country-due its size and the fact that everyone know everybody here you need a good place which can get you a job after and unfirtunately in Israel, unlike U,S,A and Europe, salaries are not set by the rank of the institute nor by the kind of the degree you have.
You need to know people and to have experience (sometimes, unfortunately, networking and exeprience are more important than degrees here)
About years of experience.
you are qualified for every program (they just brand themselves as 10 years)sorry for the language but it is Bullshit. I know 4 different people who had 3-4 years of experience who graduated with me from the IDC that got accepted and to tell you the truth, they are not geniuses nor seniors in their jobs. They had the money to pay and the grades and the connections to get accepted!
Go there if you have the money and grades. GMAT is needed for MBA only 48 quantitive (EMBA0usualy you sdon't need)
so, I guess thats it. let me know if you need any more help with alumni or people to talk with.
BTW, this is for Duncan- I spokle with some of my European friends and they told me that both programs are good but I was advised to go to Bocconi for a MSc inspite all the other things I discussed with you. They said that the MSc from Bocconi will be more considered than an MBA at GGSB.
So I'll apply them both. lets see what will happen.
Thanks anyway for your help :) you helped me a lot
