Hi,

I already have an MSc in Computer Integrated Manufacturing and its Management from the University of Huddersfield, which was obtainted in 2000. My question is it worth pursing an MBA programme? My careeer has kind of stagnated and have been contracting for the past 5 years in various sectors doing analytical type roles. I thought that by going for an MBA at Warwick Business School Distant Learning would reignite my career within Management.

What are your thoughts?

Depends. What are your career goals? If you feel like you've plateaued after working for five years, an MBA might help you gain the perspective you need to land a more managerial role. If you want to stay in your current company, maybe discuss the idea with your boss: some firms are willing to bankroll your education, if it's worth it for them to see you climb the career ladder internally.

Warwick is a good program because it combines online curriculum with on-campus residencies. Also, you can look into other distance learning options, such as IE, Bradford, or UNC - which all offer some sort of face-to-face curriculum. Otherwise, depending on where you are, a part-time MBA program may be an option.
