Hello all, I am posting this on behalf of my cousin.

Bio: a Master of Science (Agriculture Science , Focus: Horticulture) graduate from 2019, 25 years old, Experience in family owned farming business. No other formal/outside job exp.

Career goal: to expand family business and explore AgTech business/start-ups in India OR Indo-European market with few partners.

Need:
==> Any suitable MBA investment for agri-business/AgTech or focus on food-industry in India or Europe/UK? Brand-insurance or premium of top MBA-colleges is not a must here as he wish to focus on family business in long run. Appreciate your suggestions. :)

I guess the best know agribiz MBA is at the Royal Agricultural University. But you.kight be better off attending a school with a focus on family business.

How many years has your cousin been actually working? MBA programs are generally designed for those with at least 4-5 years of post-graduate experience. Family business experience would be considered, as long as it was generally full-time, done after receiving an undergrad degree.

If that roughly describes your cousin, then they can consider MBAs. There aren't many MBAs in agriculture, generally speaking, but my sense is that a more general MBA, or like Duncan suggests, one specialized for small / family businesses, might be appropriate.

Have them focus on their career goals: stay in India OR move elsewhere. There aren't many options outside of the very highly ranked programs that will do both well.

Thanks you! I believe, he shall target a regular MBA locally there in India. May be with focus on social business & Entrepreneurship in coming years.
Well, he does not have much experience as a full-time one but as a part-time one alongwith studies. He is a fresh graduate & his mid-term plan (next 5 years) is to remain in India and help carry forward the responsibility of our family business (AgTech) and extend it locally, first. I was just thinking of some higher studies like MBA first before he joins full-time in.
