Usually one year MBA programs in US (Katz, Babson etc.) requires that you either have done your Bachelors in Business from AACSB recognized school AND/OR have several years of work experience for programs such as USC iBear.

You can study at programs like Hult - if that's what you are looking for. Make sure you understand based on your citizenship the challenges of getting post MBA job and work permit.

Your decision might also have something to do with your residency status. If you'll need to find an employer after you graduate to get/maintain a work visa, a two-year program might be preferable: that way you have more time to pound the pavement looking for jobs, and maybe more importantly, do an internship to get your foot in the door.

Do one year MBAs affect career prospects for the OPT period? I would rather do a shorter program but I want to make sure I can find a job.

OPT is for a period equal to the study period. If you want longer, maybe consider a STEM MBA.

I believe the OPT period is 12 months in either case.

You'll mostly not find any one-year MBAs that are STEM certified, just because the STEM certification usually requires a certain number of specialized elective courses, which there often isn't time for in the shorter programs.

Well I can't find any. Closest I've found are some specialized MSc programs in business analytics which are STEM designated.

That would probably be aimed at a different type of candidate compared to a full time MBA.

Yes I agree that's why I think I am going to go with a 2 year STEM MBA instead, that would suit me better.
