MBA vs Msc

Hey guys!
Is it very unusual for people to go for an Msc/MA after an MBA,specially if they want an industrial change? I want to shift my career to luxury market.. though a lot of people go for a second MBA for a career change, is it weird to go for a specialised master degree? ?
I want to be more versatile.. So I want to focus beyond MBA (luxury management spécialisation ).. Hardly any top rated MBA provides this concentration except for a few.. but there are lots of Msc/MA available there..

It is unusual but not unheard of for people to go for a 2nd master. Master's is a big deal - at least in US - given that not many get to go to college (Bachelors) and there are several dropouts.

I have seen a Geology major working in an Insurance company as Investment portfolio analyst. Select a program that works best for you MSc/MBA/MA whichever. An education alone may or may not be sufficient to get you into Luxury industry. Focus on what skills you lack, what skills you'll acquire during your masters. Would those two combined be sufficient for skills required for your target job?

Focus on a function - finance/marketing/operations etc. Your ability to land an internship in luxury industry would be pivotal for your post grad career.

Thank you very much for such a detailed response.. I am looking for programs in french speaking region only.. USA doesn't fit my budget except LIM New York ... But they are no longer providing an MBA but an MPS...
