I have a dilemma. I am thinking about an MBA but I don't know if it is the right career move for me.
I am 28, been with the same firm for 4 years. I moved from software QA testing to a client facing role and then group supervisor. In another 3 years I'll be on track to management level.
At this point I could either wait that out or take 1 year in an MBA and then move on to either a different company or different industry. I like my company and the software industry in general but at my age I want to keep my options open.
Plus, I am itching to spend some time abroad and get some work experience internationally. I mainly interface with domestic customers so I don't get a lot of international exposure in my current role.
I was thinking about doing the MBA in either Singapore or Hong Kong and then working out there for a couple years. And then come back (to the UK).
Any advice for me? I know my goals are somewhat hazy but I am working to clarify.
