I've been a late bloomer when it has come to getting a degree. I opted for culinary school instead of the standard four year route out of high school. A few years ago I decided to go back to school and finish an undergraduate degree and graduated from Columbia University in 2011.
To give a bit of history, my background is sort of all over the place. The bulk of my experience being in the food world with many years of that being in management. While I was in school I switched gears and did some project management work for a small web design firm and also did tech support for Columbia as well.
I've been finding that I seem to be stuck in the middle when it comes to applying for work. I've been looking for entry level PM jobs but am finding that having so much experience from another industry is a detriment. Does any one have any advice? Is an MBA the right route to redirect my career? Thank you in advance for your help.
