One year MBA in California

Hey,

I am from Iceland but graduated from a good University in USA.

I'm looking for a good MBA Graduate program in California. The cost for the program would ideally not cost more then $30,000 with the maximum cost of the one year MBA program going up to $40,000.

I want the school to be pretty good as I am a very good student with a GPA of 3.95. However, I also want to enjoy my time at the school. I love a good sunny weather, beaches, pools and just having fun.

San Diego sounds like the most interesting place to me, however I am not sure if it is the best place within California to go to school at.

Does anybody have any suggestions? It would mean a lot and you could save me some time with the search engines which I have been going through for days :)

P.S I am open for all other suggestions, other places like Florida for example.

There's an MBA search tool at http://www.find-mba.com/search - I suggest you narrow your search to accredited programs.

Around San Diego, your only option is San Diego State University, since University of San Diego's tuition (and most very good schools are over your budget, and will be two years -- so more than double your budget).

SDSU may give you a lot of waivers for your BBA, allowing you to complete in one yoear.

USD's international MBA program would be ideal, since it's a one-year program, but the cost is over $70k.

I'd look at schools in other parts of California. CSU Long Beach has a one-year program that's just around $40k.

CSU East Bay has an AACSB-accredited one-year MBA program for right around $30k as well.

The Monterey Institute of International Studies is sort of an oddball school, but AACSB accredited, and has a 12-month program for about $34,000.

It was featured in Beyond Grey Pinstripes, so it's got a verified sustainability/CSR angle, if that kind of stuff interests you.
