One year MBA in Florida

Hey,

I am from Iceland but graduated from a good University in USA.

I'm looking for a good MBA Graduate program in Florida. The cost for the program would ideally not cost more then $30,000 with the maximum cost of the one year MBA program going up to $40,000.

Also, I would have to begin my studies in the fall at first.

Does anybody know the cost of UCF one year MBA? I tried looking everywhere on their website and sent them a message.

I want the school to be pretty good as I am a very good student with a GPA of 3.95. However, I also want to enjoy my time at the school. I love a good sunny weather, beaches, pools and just having fun.

Does anybody have any suggestions? It would mean a lot and you could save me some time with the search engines which I have been going through for days :)

Open for all suggestions of schools.

Annual tuition (two semesters) at UCF is $ 24,790. The one year program is three semesters, or four if you lack the prerequisites. http://www.graduatecatalog.ucf.edu/Programs/Program.aspx?ID=1074&TID=208 So, the fee will be around 37K or 49K, depending on your degree.

But for that price you could take a world-class MBA at somewhere in Europe like Lancaster, Grenoble, Edinburgh, Durham, Newcastle, Birmingham, SKEMA, ALMA, ALBA. These are much stronger schools and with the higher salary that with result you can have lots of great holidays later in life.

You've got a couple of options.

There's Florida International University's International MBA program - it's a one-year program for $39k. It is accredited by AACSB.

Or if you can bump your budget a bit, Florida State's one-year program is around $46k. Also AACSB-accredited.

Although, you might also want to look into University of Florida/Warrington's one-year option. It's the only Florida-based program ranked by Businessweek; however, the tuition is around $60k but they generally give pretty nice scholarships, depending on your profile (get a solid 720+ GMAT score to have a better chance at funding.)

Is that their 1 year MBA cost or two year? I have surfed their website and sent them e-mails without finding how much their 1 year MBA program cost is.

Use the link you posted earlier. The one year MBA is 60-64 units (http://www.mba.calpoly.edu/mba_one_year.html) so multiply that by the tuition and then add the fees.

It's going to be about the same for either, since they're both 60-64 unit programs. You calculate by unit.

It's really just an average school, and I'd inquire specifically about career services. This MBA programs tends to draw less than 10% international students in a given year, so I would wonder about the capacity for placements.

I would think that Duncan's advice from earlier stands - unless you are specifically looking to live and work on the central California coast, it might be more effective to seek out a world-class MBA in Europe or the UK.
