I think I might be crazy... I'm considering doing an MBA after having finished a PhD!
I actually finished in 2013. I've been doing some work in my university's lab since then, and doing a bit of teaching as an adjunct. The problem is I am done with academia and this environment. I cannot take it anymore!
So I am considering an MBA to help me everything into a wider perspective and give me some more leverage as I want to work in either an HMO or a big pharma company.
Unfortunately, I am understanding that to be competitive at many top business schools, you need something like 5 years of work experience. This I do not have. But I wonder, will the business schools accept my academic experience and the associated lab work as work experience? I am mostly looking at schools in the U.S.A. like NYU, Wharton, Vanderbilt...
