Seeking Advice-MBA/Masters in Canda

Hello Everyone,

I am interested to pursue full-time MBA/Masters course in Canada.
I am an IT professional having 6 years of work experience as QA. I have worked in insurance and banking domain.
I am a B.TECH degree holder and had English as first language in high school. (I am not proficient in French). I am an Indian passport holder.
I am looking forward to work and settle down in Canada and would seek advice on the below questions:
1. Colleges and course that would be suitable for my profile (For e.g. HEC Montreal 1 year programme or Sauders 1 year programme)
2. If 1 year course in general management would be helpful in securing a job or shall I go for a 2 year specialized course. I have finance, IT and Consulting in my mind.
3. Is there any entry- level scholarship/grants for international students so that it would be easy for me to pay the course fee and study, as I am looking for financial assistance.
4. Do any of the MBA colleges/Business schools in Canada provide on-campus placements?
5. I would like to know if I need to appear for IELTS or TOEFL. I have already appeared for GMAT.

Answers for some of these questions are so easy to find. For example I just can't believe that you are asking 5, to be honest. Do more research, and come back with questions that Google cannot answer.

In general, ranked business schools will give you more leverage in your post-MBA job hunt than non-ranked schools. So look into Rotman, Sauder, Queen's, Alberta, Ivey, and McGill.

I don't think it's really a choice between a 1 year general course and a 2 year specialized course. The Sauder course is 16 months long and still provides an opportunity to specialize. The longer programs will give you more time and space to hone your skills, like the Rotman program which includes a 4 month long internship.

IELTS/TOEFL requirements will vary by school. McGill for instance requires it for non-native English speakers.

For scholarships it will depend on many factors including how interesting you are to the school. This info tends to be pretty easy to find. Schulich has some 30+ entry scholarships listed directly on its webpage:
