UCD's MSc Management vs Warwick's MSc Management

Hello, I have received admit offers from UCD's MSc Management and Warwick's MSc Management programs.

I have 1.5 years of experience in operations/manufacturing and wish to enter management consulting.

Warwick's MSc Management program is ranked 27th in the FT MIM rankings, offers electives and UK offers higher average salaries than Ireland. But, upon doing research on linkdin, I noticed that many international graduates from Warwick's MSc Management program end up returning to their home countries.

On the other hand, UCD's MSc Management program is unranked by the FT, doesn't offer any electives but has a better rank for careers service. Also, higher proportion of international MSc graduates get jobs in Ireland than Warwick
graduates.

I wish to work in the country I study in, for a few years.

Could you please advice me on which program should I go for?

Tough choice, I would go for UCD as I understand you are not from the UK. It will be easier for you to find a job in Ireland than the UK. Good luck!

A really tough choice. Dublin is more expensive than London now, and the housing crisis cannot be solved by current methods.

Thank you Andy and Duncan for your valuable advice. I personally like the curriculum offered by the Warwick MSc more than that of UCD. I feel that the consulting specialism, two electives solely dedicated to consulting, will help me in preparing myself to land a job in the industry. However Warwick's high tuition fee is blocking my way.

When you add on the cost of living in Dublin, the fee difference might come into context. Consumer Prices Including Rent in Dublin are 67.2% higher than in Coventry.

Does any of these programs provide better learning and job opportunities ?

Also, how difficult it is to get a visa sponsored job in Ireland and UK for a foreigner with the right skillset ? And why is getting such a job difficult in UK than in Ireland ?

The FT MiM rankings are your friend there: look for the % employed and the mobility scores.

It is harder to get a job in *Ireland* than in the UK.
- Irish MiM programmes in the FT ranking have on average lower percentage employed than the UK programmes.

- The republic has a *higher* unemployment rate and far fewer jobs. Eurostat reports vacancies in Ireland to be 33,100 compared to 1,266,000 in the UK. Ireland has 7.5% of the UK's population but 2.6% of the vacancies.

Certainly, it's more paperwork to get a UK visa but... I don't see any material basis for that claim.

Hii                                                                                                                                           I saw this post and thhought it would be relevant for me to ask this qsn here : I have also thought of applying to msc management in UCD and warwick . I have 2 years of work ex . can anybody guide me on the job prospects <br><br>
