Hello
My name is Nidhi & I am aspiring to pursue post-grad studies from a university in UK. I am a 26 year old and I am from India. I am at the final stage of both Chartered Accountant(CA) and Company secretary course in India. I have 3 years of Internship experience in my family's CA Firm where I had exposure in the fields of Accounting, Taxation & Auditing. ( I have excellent theoretical knowledge in these subjects but I lack practical exposure even after the internship). I have given multiple attempts to crack these exams, however considering their difficulty , I have decided to take a break and choose an alternative career path.
I am planning to pursue an MBA or Msc management from universities preferably in London. I am not aiming top tier colleges but colleges like- Brunel, Cardiff, Middlesex,Aston. These colleges would be ready to accept me in their MBA Programs.
I understand that people who usually do an MBA in UK have high work experience and I dont offer that.
My reason to prefer MBA over Msc management:
1. The MBA Tag. - Since currently I plan to come back to my home country where MBAs are recognised more than masters
2. Take up management related jobs in MNCs
3. To improve my interpersonal skills
4. To network
I would like to know from you:
1. Based on my profile and the kind of universities I am targeting, which course do you think will help me benefit professionally in UK( If I plan to stay back in UK)
2. By having minimal work experience that too in a small firm, will it hamper or highly affect my MBA experience in these universities
3. With the same work experience, Companies in UK would prefer to hire an MBA or Masters grad ?
4. Any suggestions
