1. Rutgers-Camden.
2.North Carolina State University- Jenkins- Poole
3. San Fransico State University
4. University of Portland Pamplin School of Business Administration

Which would you suggest is best for Indian International students in the order to secure post mba careers in USA? I work in a niche branch of software known as PLM (Product Lifecycle Manamgent- Enovia) as a business analyst. There are very few people available for that even in India, which has allowed me to shift jobs easily as there is a demand for my skill-set. I looked at monster and linkedin for jobs in USA in that field and zeroed in on the north Carolina, San Fransisco and Washington locations and believe they would offer the best chances for post mba careers in my field. I am looking for an
MBA in
1.Consulting (My first priority)
2.Strategy/ marketing or sales
3. Entrepreneurship

Of these schools or any other you may know. Can you please suggest which is the best for my career aspirations? Also which among these would be the best economically and scholarship-wise.

I would stick to the Businessweek-ranked programs: Rutgers and Poole. Rutgers is probably the better general choice, but a case can be made for Poole if you are looking for a tech-oriented career. This is a rather random selection of schools, and you should probably narrow down your specialization options since you're looking at wide swaths of functional areas. In short, you should probably clarify your career goals.

A personal suggestion, as far as Job opp. is concerned (niche- better to leave it on market/ company- a safer side/ General- can try on your own). If you are ever confused, opt for Sales/ Mktg (though Indians opt Consulting more), it won't make you loose anywhere, as far as you keep a die hard attitude ! Long term result can probably be Entrepreneurship !

@badux- Yea was thinking I need to narrow it down better. My interest is to become a consultant in a tech company in the technology i work in.

@Duncan- Hey duncan what is your opinion on the GRE? I had helped a friend prepare for it and it seemed easier. Would professional MBA's give weight-age to it? I've seen the statistics for it..a lesser percentage of people get into MBA's with a GRE but still i think i can do better in it. Have you heard or counselled anyone to get into a top MBA program with a GRE score?

There's a thread on this. The GRE is less respected than the GMAT, so theres a sort of 'discount' on your value if you apply with it because it's a flag that you struggle with quant. But strong candidates can still get into good schools.
