GMAT 640 (Q48 V 27)

Hi There,

I am David, I gave my GMAT yesterday. Very disappointed with the outcome(640, Q-48 80%ile, V-27 43%ile)
I accepted my score in the test center but decided to cancel it after I reached home.

Considering that HEC, Paris has a rolling admissions. I am thinking of applying to HEC for January Intake.

Below is my profile information:
I did my Bachelor of Engineering is from an Indian University. After Bachelors I did my MS in Computer Engineering from USA where I had a GPA of 3.3.
I worked in California after my Masters for one of the top semiconductor companies for 4 years before deciding to return to India. I have a total of 5 years experience in the same company.
I have traveled to Europe and am involved in extra curricular activities such as playing a percussion instrument and playing tennis.

Do I have any chance of making it to HEC Paris for Jan Intake?

Indeed, the GMAT score won't work for HEC. As you know the problem isn't the 640; it's the 43%. It's a pity you cancelled your score. You could have applied now for January and asked for an offer that was conditional on you hitting 60%.

Why not consider alternatives to HEC? If you can get to 650, then EDHEC would give you a 40% scholarship.

You still have a couple of months before applications for the January intake close. Why not try to beef up your GMAT score? A bit of concentrated prep effort should get that verbal a bit higher.
