GMAT score of 610 - which schools to pick?

Hi folks,

I got a 610 score today - not as high as I would have liked but it is what it is so am thinking of just going ahead with it :) Before taking the test, I had this shortlist of full time MBA programs in UK/Europe to apply to:

1. Mannheim
2. EDHEC
3. Imperial
4. Copenhagen
5. IMD
6. ESMT Berlin
7. Edinburgh
8. Durham
9. St Gallen
10. BI Norwegian

But now, based on my test score, if I had to reduce this list to 6, which of these would you recommend that I choose based on the highest chances of getting an admission and/or scholarships? Are there any others (in UK/Europe) that I should be considering but am missing from my list?

Is your goal only admission and scholarship, rather than finding employment?

I think that, even without a scholarship, admission will be challenging for you ate most of these schools. How balanced is your GMAT score?

Thanks for sharing! Employment most certainly is a consideration down the line but for now I am more worried about getting in I guess :)

Quite imbalanced I'd say - ~65 percentile on Verbal/IR and 28 percentile on Quant

That makes you less attractive, especially for schools that reply on off-the-cuff case study discussions and group work.

Have you spoken to the respective business schools to discuss if you are likely to be accepted? They are businesses themselves so if they have spaces on a cohort that is due to start shortly they may be more accommodating. Also, have you considered business schools own tests?

You certainly have a chance with Durham. Not sure about your background though but you could consider schools like Durham and Lancaster (though not on your list). They take candidates without GMAT scores so there is a waiver for that especially if you’re experienced (especially with some years of managerial experience). Also consider University of Edinburgh Business School.
