I looked at Texas A&M University website which says that their average GMAT score is 647. Do you think its a good idea to apply because I would really want to get into that school ?

No, I think you would be wasting your time. They have a 9% acceptance rate (high demand because of their low fees) and no shortage of students with above average work experience.

I want to do full time MBA in International business in this coming spring.

I have been working for 5 years in US as a Business Analyst.
I took GMAT this year in Feb and got only 510.

I think except the gmat score, my overall profile is well enough to get me in a good business school. I did my bachelors in CIS from TSU, TX and have around 3.3 GPA.
Anyone please help me to decide a good business school.

Sadly with your low GMAT you won't be able to get into a very good school. Why not take the time to improve your GMAT?

If not so good university at least I would like to get in some good city. My preference is NYC. Are there any decent business schools which would be applicable for me?

You won't be able to start your MBA "now" - you'll be looking at September next year. So why not work on your GMAT until November? With your current GMAT, you'll be looking at some rather weak schools around NYC:

I have been getting lot of emails from pace since i have given my gmat. What do you think about pace? Which would be better if we compare between Pace, Long Island and Iona?

In North American and Europe the academic year normally starts in September.

I've ranked them from top to bottom by salary, so Pace is the better choice.

These are in the top 75 or so business schools in the US, with an average GMAT of 670. You are not likely to gain admission in any of these schools, but I you could select one of them as a stretch school. Most applicants to these schools are much better qualified than you, and still only around 38% are admitted.

GWU and Buffalo are the two least selective of the five, and have lower average GMATs (around 625). However these are still a stretch for you if you are not prepared to take the time to improve your GMAT.

Some more realistic stretch schools for you would be:

Howard University (DC)
Oklahoma State University (Spears)
Pace University (Lubin) (NY)

As a bit of a stretch school, I would also recommend the SP Jain Center of Management in Dubai.

I'd also suggest you work on your verbal fluency in English: that part of your score is low, so some schools will worry about your ability to be an active participant in classroom discussions.
