Hi congrats on you getting admission to the BATH MBA program.
Ok coming to the campus part of this school there are 3or4 or 5 options. One that is right inside the university (btw the university is up a hill or hillock about 4 kms or so from the bath city living in the university accommodation will save you the travel fare approx 1.25 gbp per trip or so everyday but for day to day items you will have to come down to the city and do your shopping also during off term you will be cut off as there will be no activities in the university eg Christmas new-year etc) is ok.
There are 3-4 accomodation that are in the city pls dont opt for cleaveland, although it nearest to the university, the buses that take you up are full by the time the get to cleavland and the dont stop for anymore students so students invariably have to walk up in the mountain in freezing cold up in winters.
The others in priority of their order, are closest to the city bus stand and train station is, carpenter house, second is just a street or so away which i heard is going to be renovated is john wood and the 3rd is thornbanks which is also the farthest away but near the start point of the 'blue bus' service so you will be the first to get on a near empty bus, there is another one campus besides these which i havent seen yet so i have no opinion about it. besides the above you can also consider living in a private accommodation eg 1BHK appt check (

Regarding the FT rankings we heard that when the FT folks contacted (they review the 3rd year batch for this year ranking eg for 2010 they contact 2007 cohort) the 2007, 30 or so cohort they couldn't get minimum % of responses from those students I guess they were looking for at-least 20 or so from 30 to respond and that did come through. Getting back in the FT next year may also be a challenge as it is dependent on the 2008(worldwide recession year) batch responses which may not be all that great.
While on the other hand the good news is that BATH is on the top 5 in the The Economist"WHICH MBA Rankings". So cheer and go ahead with your decision and welcome to BATH
