Cranfield MSc.finance

Hello I need your advice.

MSc. Finance at Cranfield compare with ICMA , Manchester, Durham and Edinburge which one is the best for job prospect ?

I have already read FT ranking. Cranfield is the highest. I know that cranfield is very well know in Europe. I also like the course structure with teaching both finance and management. The course seem focus on corporate finance aim for IB which is my aim.(come back to my country) I think cranfield is my top choice.

On the other hand, my concern is I am from asian which cranfield is not well known. ( However, I graduated from the best university in my country but my grade is not very high.) Should I worry about the reputation in asia ?

Another concern cranfield has just announced to open new university in MK which use the name as MKU, so is it possible that cranfield will close ( or change the name) and move to new university?. Then My degree would not have back up university.

I know that may be I am concern too much but fee of the course is really high, so I have to think all aspect.

Cranfield is certainly the best choice. The only serious alternative should be better school. Cranfield will not close.

Which university that you think it is good enough for alternative choice ? Like Lancaster or Cass or KCL.

Could you please explain more how good for Cranfield for MSc. Finance ? I know that cranfield teach more than other uni like 14 modules vs 8-10 modules.

The FT ranking is very useful http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/masters-in-finance-pre-experience-2017 but of course look for school with corporate finance tracks like Cass and Henley ICMA. KCL isn't a very serious competitor, but Cass alumni salaries are very impressive: almost as good as Cranfield. Durham could be a good safety school.

Rotterdam and Lancaster come close on salary. Lausanne and Tilburg are great value. Obviously there are also many schools even better for finance in general; Warwick, Frankfurt, Dublin. Catolica;

I will go for Cranfield because from my offer Cranfield will be the best. It may be too late to apply new universuty like Cass or imperial.

The MK:U campus will not be a Cranfield University campus. It will be managed by them, perhaps in the way that Cranfield manages various military school. The MK campus will be more like a polytechnic aimed at STEM subjects and with strong support for Apprentceship programmes. It's a different value proposition, but it will help Cranfield to increase its faculty numbers and better exploit infrastructure.

I would like to know about MSc. Finance at Manchester. My friend said that business school is good and well known. Inaddition, overall ranking Manchester is top 30 university in the world. But after I read FT ranking it appear only MBA, for MSc. Finance it is not appear. (QS ranking it is high eventhough Qs ranking is new for business ranking.) Which rank should I trust?

It is not as good as Cranfield for the MSc in finance. Of course your friend is right that is a good school and an excellent university. However, for the MSc in finance the best schools are the ones in the FT ranking.

Cranfield is good school for both MBA and MSc. Program and better for MSc. Finance.

Yes, just to give you a bit of context: Alliance Manchester Business School is the fusion of two business schools: Manchester Business School was an MBA and executive education provider, and the UMIST school of management was a BSc and MSc provider. The schools have generally stayed in their own buildings and the experiences are a bit different even though they have a common brand.
