Diploma in Accounting from UBC, Canda or Mba from Aston or brunel business school, UK- Which amongst the two are preferred by employers?

HI
I am an experienced professional 2+ years of work experience as an auditor and 3+ years of work experience in my own startup. I have also completed my US CPA in 2017 but do not have any experience in that domain. Currently, I am looking forward to continue with my higher studies. I have an offer from UBC (University of British Columbia) for their Diploma in Accounting program and an offer from Aston Business School for their One Year Full Time Mba program.

Kindly suggest me as to which course would be best suited for me if I look forward to build my career in the corporate world, more specifically in Taxation or Investment Banking. Does the difference between diploma and degree matter a lot here or the brand value of UBC suffice this thing?

All help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

The UBC programme is not appropriate for you if you have a bachelors degree. It's an introductory accounting course, taught at the undergraduate level. Why not take a masters degree in finance, accounting, banking or taxation?

The problem is I am not eligible for masters in good business schools as my Bachelors CGPA was very less. Therefore I was looking forward to this diploma in UBC for the sake of UBC brand name.

Can you suggest me some options in your knowledge that could be otherwise good for me? And also what about the Mba program in Aston Business School in Birmingham?

If you want to work in the UK, either take a one year top-up BA (Hons) in accounting/finance or a MSc in accounting/finance. Either way, look for programmes with professional accredition for as many modules as possible.
