At early stage I was hesitated to make comment on it,Becoz any wrong information should not be presented with out any justification which may further misguide you.Personally,Herr-watt has a very good presence and reputation world wide especially in Gulf and Far east.Though they don't have any accreditation they have their own set of industrial links.They got a ranking of roughly 29 in TOP MBA site.But never appeared in FT rankings.So your decision depends upon your needs.If accreditation is not a issue for you then it is a welcome approach.More over when compared to other rankings I feel FT is best.Other rankings mostly consider over all university performance which can't be accurate in terms of MBA.Universities like Leicester etc may occupy on top order which may raise a doubt in terms of MBA.Chat with the university professionals and explore about them.

Heriot_Watt is fully accredited to Royal Society. As an Indian I can not gauge the reputation of Royal Society.

Accreditations such as AMBA, EQUIS and ACCSB are private entities. Heriot-Watt is so proud of its standard that, it does not believe in being accredited by any third party. So do I believe?

The prerequisite for any B-School to be listed in FT is that, it has to be accredited to any one of the three accreditation bodies mention above. EBS@Heriot-Watt is not accredited to any, thus it could not make a place in FT.

But, the same FT does not keep such criteria for Distance MBA program and EBS stands second there.

I believe rating and ranking is a just a game.

I have a strong belief that, EBS will make a good leader out of me.

What i would like to advice to the people who wants to start their journey with EBS is this program is tough don't take it lightly.
All the subjects are compulsory there's no choice given even u don't want to study that particular subject for instance doing general MBA you are ought to pass 9 subjects outta which 7 are core subjects and you don't have any choice even if you don't want to study that subject in detail.Lets take an example of finance,the course is very tough and you are expected to have a vast knowledge of it if you are a marketing or human resource professional or want to do a specialization in HR or marketing then why would you study so hard for finance to get MBA degree.Logically you would concentrate on the subjects relevant to your specialization but EBS structure ignores this the course is designed in such a manner that doesn't give you any option except clearing all the subjects and moreover the subjects like finance are too tough you would feel as if you are doing a specialization in finance even if you don't have any interest in it.The marking is strict, there are multiple choice questions which needs hell lotta practice else you won't pass.
If you are a studies chap and can manage to take enough time to study each subject in detail then go for EBS MBA else look for other University which will give you more options and easy content to pass the exam.
Most of the EBS student fails because they don't expect the course to be tough and can't manage to take enough time for study.
However the advantage of EBS is that it is the most flexible course in the world you can complete it within 7 years and take the exams anywhere in the world by enrolling as per your location.
