hi! i am an international engineering graduate and i have 2 and half years work exp.. i am planning to apply for mba in UK for the next academic year.. however whatever research i have done seems to point that tier 1 and tier 2 colleges in UK tend to admit people in the age group 29 onwards (i will complete 25 this december) and atleast 3 yrs work experience.. i wil have 2.9 yrs work exp wen i apply and 3.5 yrs wrk exp when i join...if so, what are my chances??

I think you still have a chance at the top schools. I don't think age matters much; just that you have SOME professional experience that you can bring into the classroom, and also show the school that you will be hire-able after you finish the MBA. Two years is usually enough, unless the schools have a rigid work experience minimum. True, that some in the UK do have a minimum, but I suspect that most don't.

Well it actully depends on what kind or MBA program you are looking for coz most of the A rated B-School would require minimum of 3+ years of good work exp and they are expensive too.. but if you are ok with B rated universities then you are eligible for most of them.
Your academic background also plays an important role in admission process.
