Interesting discussion and I like the idea about not relying on rankings to make an MBA decision. But I've read in other places that doing a ranked MBA in the UK will help with getting a work visa after graduation. Is this true?

Since the rankings reflect success in finding work, it's true but the causation is the other way around. It's not rankings which make schools's successful; successful school move up into the rankings.
