Lancaster vs Aston vs Bath

Hello everyone~

I have already got the offer from Lancaster, Aston, and Bath.

I have already worked in a law firm almost 10 yrs.
My goal is trying to change my path into other industry, e.g. consulting.(that's the only one I think the most related to my current job) then, I would also want to have oversea work exp at least 1 yr. So that I think the career service is my most concern.

Some people say Aston has advantage in its' location but Lancaster has highest rank among them. It is difficult for me to make the choice. Unfortunately, I don't have time to take GMAT, This year is my final chance to go study, another year is not my option...

However, Vlerick also gave me an offer but I consider that as a local school. I hope I got wrong impression about it.

I think these schools don't have a great reputation as LBS or LSE. But if one of them could possibly achieve my goal, it will be a nice choice for me. If all of them are not or not worth to spend at least 25,000 pounds, your suggestions are also very welcome.

Why not take the GMAT as soon as possible? How can you have time to take off a year for an MBA, but you don't have half a day to take a test of the maths that most 16-year olds know.

I think the choice is really between Lancaster or Bath. I'm assuming you're not from the UK? If so, you'll want to look at the success rates for non-UK students getting jobs there after graduation; ask the schools about this. In the FT ranking, Lancaster outscores Bath a bit in terms of "international mobility" but Bath has better post-MBA salaries. Of course, for non-UK students who want to work in the country after graduation, getting an MBA from a school like Manchester, Cambridge or Oxford (strictly based on the "international mobility" metric) would be much, much better options.

Duncan, as you say, I totally agree that GMAT will provide more opportunities for me. I am still preparing for take it. However, I want to have a backup plan, just in the case. Because I don't want to waste money on the deposit, one of them will enough for me. I notice ur a experienced MBA consultant, maybe u could give me great advise. However, GMAT...I know that, u can say that if I get the admission from LBS, who cares about Lancaster? right?

mba hipster, thanks for ur advise. I have trying to contact with further or present students for about a month. maybe it almost at the end of the course. everyone seems so busy at this time. I only got a feedback from present student in Vlerick. The things he told me are very different from I thought. It makes me nervous...
