MBA Schools Compare

All,
I am planning to do my MBA in Finance in a years time, and would like to get some inputs on the following schools.
LBS
Said
Judge
CASS
Warwick
Imperial
Cranfield.
I would like to understand what they are good at, and what they are not, so that I can prioritize them. If that is too much to post, any references would help as well. I have the brochures to most of these schools with me already.

That list you have there is probably the top-tier league of UK business schools. So it sounds like you've already done some homework. Brochures probably won't help you too much. Everyone is the best in their brochures. ;)

LBS, Cass and Imperial are great because of their location.

Judge and Said have that Oxbridge cache, which is valuable internationally.

Durham and Birmingham are also supposed to be strong in finance.

Hi Karunk - I'd definitely say Cass and LBS for finance, not least because they're close to the 'City' in London, but all the schools on your list are strong. Are you definitely thinking of an MBA, rather than an MFin?

After a lot of thought, understanding my inclinations/strengths and interests, I know that MBA is the right decision for me at this time in my career/life.. MFin would give me a good springboard in finance, but that is not what I am looking for.. I want a more allround course that would not only give me finance, but also General Management and Enterpreuneur skills!!

LBS and Cass for finance. Manchester (MBS) is very strong in finance too, though not as specialist as the other two. There are a number of international banks with operations in Manchester.

Oxford, Cambridge, Cranfield, Warwick for a General MBA.
