dear patilami,
Glasgow university is very good. better compared to univ of liverpool. all the AMBA accredited programs in UK, ask for minimum 3 years exp. i think, u need to have 3 years exp for a Glasgow MBA. Aberdeen is for freshers rite? guess u should get an admission into Aberdeen for MBA. please check the respective university links. if they offer an AMBA, they surely ask for atleast 3 years exp. suggest you to go for an MBA, with the kind of job exp that u have got. please dont consider Msc programs, if u r serious about ur MBA. Sheffiled univ and Northampton univ are also very good...hope this answers ur query. please get back to me...
Kind Regards,
Vijay...

yes patilami, univ of sheffield and sheffield hallam are different. Hallam takes freshers (if i am not mistaken) for MBA. please check the respective univ website once. i am not sure about this univ. u ll get the accrediation related info as well, in the website. i advice u to please consider universities which ask u for job exp for getting into an MBA (like the univ of glasgow MBA).
Kind Regards,
Vijay..

Hello Frens,
I have 3.5yr work exp and at present having Unconditional offers for MBA (Sep 2009 intake) from Sheffields, Liverpool, Southampton, Leeds, Middlesex, Glassgow and Heriott Watt. Not quite sure which one to go for...
Had some ideas and managed to cut it down to Liverpool and Sheffields (Not going with Leeds since its a little expensive with no bursaries) though. But among the two, a little indecisive... It would be great if you could help me out with some suggestions to choose between these two and also if I have mssed to consider any other univ in the list... Thanks a lt in advance...
Cheers,
Sambit.

I suppose Liverpool MBA is the cheapest and best amongst the list of universities specified by you. This is wat i personally feel. please dont think otherwise..request you to take suggestions from others in this forum too...but my choice is Liverpool....a strong yes to this university..

Hi,i would like to know that how much weightage is given to a work exp of 2 years in IT industry(as developer) in good B school such as Manchester,Leeds,Liverpool,Bradford which requires managerial level work exp.i would also like to know how good is cardiff university, university of salford, coventry university according to my profile ,course structure, and job placements.
A lack of managerial level work can be overcome if you emphasize any sort of leadership experience you had. This doesn't necessary mean being in charge of people, but it can also refer to a lot of things--helping your company earn lots of $$$, convincing your boss to make a decision due to your strong communication skills, strong team work in the extra-curricular area, etc. There are a number of people who get in immediately after uni. Why? Because they were able to present themselves as leaders in their essays.
The essay is something you have power over in terms of wording and spin
