Manchester definitely has a well-respected international program, and I think its Singapore campus is really starting to build its reputation on the ground there. However, I would also check out some of the other Singapore programs, including NUS and Nanyang.

Nanyang, especially has a robust technology focus, that could suit your profile.

What is your priority? To study in Singapore or to Study in UK.. ?
If you are looking for MBS i would suggest that its always better to study at their main campus in UK. If you are planning to Study in Singapore Ezra suggested you can choose better programs in Singapore with this profile.

Priority is to do pt program in sg. I'm not sure if the Mbs program is a competitive one to other parttime program in sg.

I'm over half way through the Global PT MBA at MBS and have had the opportunity to meet some of the students studying at Singapore as the course allows modules to be studied at other global centres.

It's a good program for those who want strong focused teaching, but can't commit to every week/fortnight to being in the classroom. Competitively the lecturers also teach on the FT MBA, so the standard is high in my opinion.

One of the 3 modules per semester is taught solely online, but supported the same as the others. I would say it is definitely not a distance learning course masquerading as a PT course, as support, student interaction and taught courses are fundamental to the model of learning.

I chose MBS over Warwick, Lancaster, Imperial and Cranfield and am very satisfied with my choice.

What is the weekly workload?

That's why i said 'specific' questions on the MBS program.

Sadly that question is akin to 'how long is a piece of string'. It depends on how much effort, prior knowledge of key theories/material, learning speed and target grade. This would in my opinion be the same for any qualification that requires personal study.

Officially I was told by MBS that it would require around 10 hours per week, with more at exam time.

I read many helpful information from your posts in this board. I also learnt you are a current student of MBS- Manchester. I am looking for some details about MBS and thought you may help a bit.
I live and work in New York metro area,USA. I have received a call from MBS - Miami program director informing me about my addmission to MBS - Global MBA. I was delighted at the same time got confused for the reason I got this call from Miami. I had selected my primary study center as Manchester,UK location which I thought will provide better networking, university/professors exposure, a feel of being part of the university, international exposure etc. Not sure why I was called from Miami program director. Any help on explaining this is appreciated. I plan to call him in a day or two.

Would anyone share some experience on the career advancement or career switch after the program?

I am current studen taking the mbs mbs finance accelerated. Only in my first semester. So far i am impressed with the program.. Support is excellent.. It is tough, each subject has 2 assignments, workshops are very interactive applying real companies cases like apple nokia etc.. Readings are aplenty u dont expect to be spoonfeed.. Mbs mba is currently no 29 but it will get better and cost fee keep increasing . If u looking for value for money mba, mbs mba it will be. I checked nus emba and it cost a bomb...

Atal, just curious - when you said that you are doing the MBA in finance, is that a specialization at MBS? I didn't know they offered concentrations.

Yes go to thewebsite. If u are cpa,cfa,cma, u dont have to take financial accounting or managemeny accounting, 2 modules.. However if u have non of those u can still opt for finance concentration.. So in total yr course will be 2.5 years instead of 3 years. Electives such as portfolio management, risk management , financial analysis, corp risk
Mgmt will be taken in your last 2 semesters bwfore project semester..not just finance, u can also opt forproject mgmt or engineering concentration

What about networking and career center?

Well mbs has recently built its career centres at each of the admin centres. For me i am based in dubai.. For dubai mbs has a dedicated career exec. In addition they have series of webinars neogotiation , cv writing etc.. In addition u are invited to seminars by guest speakers, up to u really.. Dont forget the 3 days per subject workshop which is highly interactive..
