Hi, I will be very grateful if you can help me analysis my situation.
Any general insights or what you know by far are highly appreciated, for example:
1. Which one suits better for someone plans to change career? (e.g. to consulting)
-Imperial is 12 month, Manchester provides flexibility in choosing from 12/15/18 month. I don't need a visa working in the UK after MBA. So probably won't have too much pressure of visa limitation for the job hunting.
-Manchester promotes itself as the only program provides 3 live projects working with real clients up to 600 hours. It also got an international business project of three months working for a real company outside of UK. Plus internship.
Imperial provides internship too. They also have one Consulting project of three months. All of the rest studying are more in the classroom.
2. Which one has a strong performance in career service?
e.g. recruitment on campus, networking resources the school arranged for MBA students
3. Which one plays more brand impact to employers?
4. Location vs job opportunity
What will you do?
A scholarship from Manchester MBA, A waitlist from Imperial.
Originally, I had a strong interest in Imperial, mainly for 2 reasons: 1st is the brand of the University. 2nd is for the location. London has more opportunities, especially my family is also in this area. Unfortunately, it didn't go smoothly and I have to wait now. But it's running out of time with Manchester, I really want to know if I should give it a try to wait a bit longer for Imperial?
Thank you very much for your input, I think it will be very valuable for not only me but also many people who consider MBA in the UK. I've actually found out some people did have the same struggling in choosing between these two when LBS and Oxbridge are not the choices. As these two are quite close in MBA ranking these years.
