Which of these UK MBAs for Marketing?

I am researching MBA programs in the UK and need some help deciding between the following:

Cambridge - Judge
Oxford - Said
Manchester
Warwick

My background is in marketing (1 year administrative; 2.5 years client relationship management) - and I'd like to remain in the marketing field but be able to land more managerial-type jobs.

Any insight?

I think the better schools may be London and Cranfield. Of the ones you name, aim for Manchester > Warwick > Judge and lastly Oxford (assuming you want to work in Europe).

Agreed about LBS - they have a number of marketing-focused faculty members, as well as an active marketing club for students.

Manchester is probably the best in your list; but a case can be made for Imperial as well.

Thank you both for your insight. I plan on applying to Cranfield or to London Business School - but I think these might be a stretch for me based on my practice GMAT tests (I've been scoring roughly 640-660.)

Would you give similar recommendations for a career in the UK? (I'm a British national.)

Yes, when I wrote 'Europe' I was including the UK in that.

Just Curious - as opposed to the MBA, how would you rate the MSc in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde?

I think that'd be about the average GMAT score for Cranfield and a little above the average for LBS. So you stand a fair chance of getting in, dependent on your CV and interview.

Both schools are well regarded in the UK, LBS probably more for banking etc and maybe the tier 1 strategy consulting firms, Cranfield offering perhaps the more rounded programme.

Average GMAT for the LBS MBA is around 700, and 680 at Cranfield. You'd need a big counterbalance to get in with 650.

Matt. I think the Strathclyde MSc will have similar outcomes to its main MSc programme. It's aimed at international, pre-experience students.

you can even try Cranfield internal test..
