Comments on MBA of the Rochester Institute of Technology

Hi to all,

I am intrigued with the MBA program of RIT (Saunders College of Business). For me, it's an ideal place to study (city of Rochester), and it's one of my choice in the USA. However, I'm not so sure about its reputation, especially in the US. Is it more of a regionally-recognized school? By the way, I prefer the full-time MBA program offered by RIT.

Hi,

Im also interested in MBA program of RIT and love the city too...an affordable and beautiful city to live in...but afraid how will be the future job prospects after i take my MBA degree from RIT as i've heard of awesome engg.programs at RIT...bt unaware of the MBA there...
can anyone help?

It's a decent bang for your buck, compared to other schools in the region.

Although if you are really into Rochester, also check out Simon at the University of Rochester. It's a little more expensive, but depending on your goals after graduation, it may be worth it. It's also a bit more competitive in terms of your profile.

As far as job prospects go, Rochester is just ok. There's some business there - Kodak has headquarters and there are a lot of other imaging companies. If you're looking at finance jobs though, your networking might be more geared toward NYC - which is a day trip away.

I also have an offer letter from hofstra in my hand...and some scholarship amt as well..was confused btwn hofstra n RIT. But, i think as i want to go into the Finance thing,it's better if i opt for Hofstra..
