well as you already stated, the IBEAR program is not an MBA program, and IMO MBA programs are better for carrier switch, as long as they are highly ranked and accredited. Stanford is such a program., ranked 4 at the financial times global rankings and the economist(this is rare: they mostly never rank the same). this business school is really highly reputable, and its reputation can help you finding a job after you complete it.

What do you mean by "IBEAR program is not an MBA". It's just a 12 month course, but you will be awarded an MBA. I agree that Stanford would be the best choice if you are looking for a prestigious MBA that will give you the knowlegde for a career swith. The bad news is that they only offer a two-year MBA (and a ten month Master's).

Thanks for your replies. I actually said that Stanford Sloan was not MBA program, but MS. IBEAR is one-year MBA, but I'm not sure about it due to lower ranking compared to Stanford. Two year programs don't work for me.
So the question remains : MBA at USC or MS at Stanford?

I am not interested in EMBA programs, I don't believe they give the same level of knowledge as MBA program does.

Opps, i just saw i mixed it up a bit - i thought you meant the MSBA(Master of Science in Business Administration) program from Marshall - a program that is designed to provide those who have completed an M.B.A. with an opportunity to pursue further study in an area of specialization subsequent to successfully completing the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.). They do offer a one year MBA - ranked 60 by the Financial times and 38 by the Economist. this is not as high as Stanford Sloan. True, it is MSC. but i still think it will be better to go for Stanford, as it is a "household name", and would probably look better on your resume(it is also only 10.5 months long).
