There's no short answer to these broad and open questions. If you read a book on MBAs and the value of the MBA, then you might develop more more specific questions.

For average salaries, you'll see that the top US schools publish placement reports where they segment salaries by sector.

Just two suggestions: Maybe also keep your options open to 2-year programs, many of which will allow you to do an internship in between your first and second years, which can add a lot to your resume (especially because one-year MBAs in the US are pretty rare, compared to the UK or Europe.) Also, you should think about your career goals to figure out whether or not you should actually specialize in anything during your MBA program.

If you are set on one-year programs, check out USC Marshall (but you'd probably need to bump your GMAT score a bit) or Emory, maybe?

If you're open to two year programs, there's more flexibility, depending on what you are looking for: Rutgers, Tennessee Knoxville, Jenkins...

Hey , How's the 1 year program at Katz. ?

I think it's a strong, long-standing program. Intense though, it doesn't look like there's much room for an international trip or a consulting project. But there's a fair amount of flexibility for electives.

You may pursue online MBA from NIBM based in India. It is an IAO accredited institution that offers various online MBA programs for the duration of 1 year and 2 year. It has also got 1 year Executive MBA for experienced professionals.

I've been watching this message board for a while and every other week I see someone posting spammy ads for this totally unknown "NIBM" place. Must be a really GREAT school if it needs this kind of promotion...
