It's sort of tricky to find a program that covers covers analytics in depth and has good placements in supply chain roles. One thing is that analytics is sort of an emerging concept at business schools - and is mainly found at the tech-oriented universities - Georgia Tech, Drexel Lebow, SMU Cox.
And the programs that are strong in supply chain are usually those that are close to the industries that have complex operations backends - so, Wisconsin, Penn State Smeal, etc.
But MIT Sloan is sort of the best of both worlds - it's tech-oriented so you have some analytics curriculum, and it also has good supply chain placements.
The other option is to choose one area and find the best school you can get into that covers it robustly.
Ralph,
I have a few questions related to SCM.
-which are the regions in the US where Supply Chain Jobs are primarily concentrated. OH,TX,NY,IL,NJ ?
-How's the job market for SCM professionals in US now . Is there a shortage of Supply Chain professionals
-Is SCM industry fairly open or rigid when it comes to hiring international students post US MBA
Thanks a lot ...
