You should be targeting Schulich. They are the only Canadian University having a MS in Business Analytics as part of the Business School. You will be able to select very interesting courses as part of the MBA program and real interesting jobs prospects with IBM, SAS or Deloitte after the MBA. Make it your only choice and, as Duncan mentioned, work hard on your GMAT.

Trust me, as a Canadian wanting to study abroad for an MBA, I really feel that we, Canadians, are at a huge disadvantage over Europeans and Americans. Our government provides one of the easiest route to employment after MBA and PR in the world. Only Australia offers something similar. If Canadians want to work in Europe after MBA, they need to fight hard for a company sponsorship, as those companies need to prove that no other Europeans (300 M people) had the same skills. Same thing with the USA (300 M people). But we, Canadians, provide MBA graduates automatic work visa and a very easy route to becoming a PR and a Canadian afterward.

As you can see, it's not fair at all, but if I was an Indian looking for a MBA abroad, I would definitely choose Canada or Australia over any other places. The competition is way too hard in Europe and the USA.

If Business Analytics prove to be a fad in 2 years, you would be much better off with an MBA instead of a Master in Business Analytics. On the other hand, the Master in Analytics is a bit shorter and cheaper. It is also more focused and might provide an internship in the field before you graduate. But I would say, if you do your master in Canada, you would be better off with an MBA as it is more recognized as the Business Analytics field is quite new. Also remember that the demand for people graduating in Business Analytics is much much much greater in the USA than in Canada, as it is where all the big data companies such as Facebook, Google, Linkedin, NSA, etc. are located. To prove my point, go on Indeed.com and type "big data" in the "What" field = 8,707 jobs.Then type "business analytics" in the "What" field = 2,592 jobs.

Next, go on Indeed.ca and type "big data" in the "What" field = 242 jobs. Then type "business analytics" in the "What" field = 128 jobs.

I would suggest that you do the same for the "MBA" keyword to find out which countries are recognizing the MBA credentials the most. USA population = 9 times Canada and 15 times Australia.

I have got an offer from two university
1. Deakin University from Autralia
2. Thompson road University Canada

Out of these two I am confused which one I should opt. i will be grateful to you if you could kindly help me give some insight on this based on the following requirements.

1. Job prospects after completing this program
2. Value for money in terms of return on investment
3. growth prospects in future
4. Brand value of university

I've not heard of these MBA programs - but neither is accredited by any of the main b-school accreditation bodies - AACSB, AMBA, or EQUIS - so your return on investment and future growth potential will not be great.

If you're looking in Canada, there are a lot of great, accredited MBA programs, and like the poster above noted, post-graduate education provides a relative efficient route to visas and permanent residency. Here are a few MBA programs in Canada you should look into:
