NYU possible with only 3 years of work experience

I'm looking for some feedback on my chances at NYU.

By intake I will have just over three years of work experience (in finance). This includes one major promotion already. Is this doable? My GMAT score is 780. Undergraduate was at a top 20 US school with honors and a distinction in my major.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet before critically evaluating my chances. I still need to secure my endorsements / recommendations but they should not be a problem.

They do recruit younger students, to a degree. Age-wise, the current class profile ranges from 21-36 - and work experience ranges from 0-13 years - meaning that they have at least one person fresh out of undergraduate.

However, generically speaking the average work experience is 5.3 years, meaning you're on the low side. Your GMAT score is at the very top end of their current range, so that could help.

Generally if you'll apply you'll want to have a solid pitch for why the MBA is good for you at this point in your career.

No, probably not. They'll only look at any work experience accrued post-bachelor's degree.

From what I understand GMAT scores are valid for 5 years so you should be fine. I hope so because I took my GMAT in 2017 and will apply for next fall intake.
