Possibility of scholarship in later rounds?

Due to some unforeseen circumstances and changes in my situation, I've decided to apply for the Columbia MBA. Just pulled the trigger.

Question: what kind of scholarship funding will be available at this time (given the late application and the current global situation?) Will there be less money, or more?

People in Admissions committee will give you a politically correct statement. However, competition for seats and scholarships increase in later rounds as students start accepting offers & scholarships from earlier rounds, so the pool decreases thus competition increases

Yes, that is about what I expected.

In terms of the global situation, I was thinking that at least some accepted students might not end up taking their spots and scholarship money. Do you think this is a possibility?

I know that Columbia is a competitive school and it would be a shame to give up a seat, but I think a lot of people are scared right now.

The insecurity means that most scholarship holders will delay turning down scholarships.

I honestly do not think that it will make *that* much of a difference at this level. Ayon is right, the scholarship pool is indeed smaller in later rounds. However, stronger applicants in any round have more of a chance of being awarded scholarships than weaker applicants.
