Shortlist US MBA programs

I am trying to narrow down my school choices for applications. I am aiming to apply for 2016. These are the business schools which I am considering:
WUSTL - Olin
Georgetown
UT Austin - McCombs
USC - Marshall
Virginia - Darden
The ones below are mostly safety schools. Ideally I would choose just one or two from this list:
Buffalo
Pittsburgh - Katz
Ohio State - Fisher
Michigan State - Broad
UC Irvine
I would prefer to go to school on one of the coasts, because as an international student from an Asian country I would prefer a more diverse environment. However, since my primary motivating factor is to work in the US after graduation, I am really looking for the schools that will give me the best chances of succeeding.
I would consider other schools as well. My GMAT score is 700 and I have at the moment 4 years of work experience.

If you are not an Indian engineer, I would consider a stretch school as well. These are nice schools, and I like Darden, McCoombs and Broad a lot. Did you look at the FT international mobility score?

PS you wrote that well, and I feel that you produce solid English prose. Good essays in the first round could bring you good fortune.

Thanks for the kind words! I will look at the Ft international mobility scores. Just to clarify, you think that which school is a reach for me? Oh, and no, I'm not an Indian engineer.

Maybe perhaps Darden is a stretch school, but what I meant was that you should also try for a school where you would be on the edge of competition, just in case and early application and good essays coincided with a national or professional gap in the cohort. I am thinking of somewhere like Cornell, UNC or UCLA that's a little better than the schools you are looking at.

Hi Duncan, please advise me to select a couple of business schools in US, that offer typically 12 to 16 months FULL TIME AACSB accredited MBA, and that offers full tuition waivers.
* I am in my late forties and have 20+ years of work experience, gained from 7 countries
* Have 2 Masters and a diploma in management
* Studied in 3 countries
* Please note I am NOT looking for Executive or distance or online format
* Would like to actively interact with, and contribute to the MBA class in terms of work and life experience

There are several great schools with great MBAs that can be completed in 16 months or less: Columbia's J-term, London Business School's 15 month option, Insead, IMD.... but without a clear idea of your career goals I doubt that these most obvious choices will be the best ones for you personally.

Thanks, I can choose only Columbia's J-Term from the list, as I wish to have some post MBA work experience in USA. But, the main hurdle I would face is, convincing the admission Team why I am opting for a full time MBA at this age!

Considering your international background and greater work experience, I would also suggest you aim at programs designed for people like you: the Sloan Fellows program at MIT, the IBEAR MBA at USC and the MSx at Stanford.

Not really internships, but full time job.But, I am glad to do an internship, which would lead to a full-time employment
