Does anybody have a sense of how competitive the admissions cycle is this year? Given Covid19 and all that goes along with it.

I am considering applying to some top-tier programs but I feel that my profile is deficient because I have a low undergraduate GPA. But if there is less competition this year because of the virus, maybe I would have a better chance. I am thinking of the best schools, Stanford / Harvard / Wharton.

I suppose, if your GPA results are not the best, then you should consider widening your choice of schools. The competition is quite harsh this year.

Also, I don't know how low your GPA is, but really, a good piece of advice is to get the best GMAT score you can.

A strong GMAT score can signal to schools that you are prepared for the rigors of an advanced degree program, and may rectify some concerns about poor undergraduate performance.

If you have already taken the GMAT, compare your score with any published averages you can find. And then consider it in context of this year, which will be more competitive. In this sense it might be worth applying to schools where you outscore the average by a fair amount.
