Manchester University Global MBA Dubai center?

Hi,
I need some feedback about the Manchester Global MBA..do you think it's worth it? Will it be considered like graduating from Manchester (this is what they told me in admission but I need another opinion, they also said i can graduate there).
I couldn't find any alumni feedback anywhere on the internet ..can someone please help me make up my mind? What are the other better options available for a part time MBA within the same budget (obviously can't go for LBS ) maybe Strathclyde ? Which one is better and why and if there is another option please mention it ????

The major difference will be the customers. Clients in the UAE and very demanding, and many EMBA participants want to be treated like customers rather then students. Otherwise, the degree and the education is the same in every location. Search this site for MBS global MBA.

The students are more experienced on the Manchester EMBA (run with Kelley).

There probably are better options but it depends in your goals. The MBS Global MBA is perhaps the closest you can get to the real full time MBA experience in a blended learning degree.

my goal is to get a good accredited MBA while working, without having to attend classes on a regular basis.
There is no Manchester EMBA they only have Global MBA.
my budget cannot exceed the 30,000 pounds MBS requires, so i guess my choices are limited.
I also want to attend an international school that's well known ..i am aiming for career boost and i want to know wich school do employers prefer here to value me better...I have graduated from the American University in Sharjah,,,i don't want to graduate from a local school for MBA....i can see that MBS certificate doesn't mention that it's based in Dubai...and the certificates text is the same as the original university. I also would like to have my graduation there....I believe MBS and Strath are similar somehow so i need to decide between them but i don't know which is better EMBA or Global? I have 12 years experience...
will you be able to mention few "better" schools in this criteria?

Both meet your goal of a part time MBA. The MBS curriculum is more extensive and comes from a better school. The Strathclyde MBA is compressed and focussed on the core courses. Personally, I would pick MBS.

If you can, visit classes to get a sense of the different cohort. The Strathclyde students are probably older, and less hard working, but check it out for yourself.

i just found out the program is not accredited here in the uae by the ministry of higher education..only by KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority)!!!

Yes, if you look at this list here you will see that the ministry only accredits UAE institutions. The foreign-owned universities are formally separate institutions from their parents. NYU Abu Dhabi and the Sorbonne in Dubai, for example, is are legally private UAE universities rather part of the university in their home country.

Manchester is different. It is a centre within the University of Manchester itself. The same with HEC, Cass, Bradford etc.

It matters because that will limit my options if I want to apply for a Government job.
ok does that also include Certificate equivalency ? will the certificate be equivalent it for me since it's a foreign certificate?

I just asked the university center, they said what students usually do, is that they get the certificate attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affair in the UK, and the UAE Embassy in the UK as well..then we are good to go...but if this is the case then governments should hire us and we are considered students with foreign certificates in this case and our certificate shouldn't be limited to certain sectors right? :l

it's not that they exclude people who graduate from these universities, but they don't give them accreditation, because they don't have campuses here and their instructors are not locally based.....but they won't consider hiring them for their MBA certificate, it will be as if they are only hiring them for their Bachelor degree only :0 ...weird

Honestly, this just seems like a great example of why one should not work for the UAE government. If they seriously require each individual to get their degree approved by the embassy (as if today's LBS MBA might have a different validity from yesterday's) then the sheer volume of bureaucracy needed to create worthless jobs will be huge in every area.
