This would be my first post but i've been a reader of FindMBA ever since i planned on doing an MBA. I am an Indian, who resides in the US. I went to school here and now I'm working with a Fortune 50 company as a Telecom Engineer. I want to change my career to a more business and management role and i'm planning to even change my industry and go into Venture capital and Private Equity.
I want to pursue and MBA from an Asian school and want to work in Asia, preferably Hong Kong or Singapore (dont mind China either). I am currently in the process of short listing the b-schools that i would be applying to.
Here is my first list in order of preference:
INSEAD - Singapore
HKUST
NUS
HKU
CEIBS
Tsinghua
Now here is my question: I came across the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and found the program interesting. After reading some posts here (which are not many), I'm confused whether this school should be considered as one of my top 5 choices or as a fallback school. Simply put, i would like to know if an MBA from CUHK would be more valuable that any of the above schools on my list or if you were me where would you put CUHK in the list.
I would also appreciate if any current student or Alumni can comment on the program, its advantages and disadvantages.
P.S. My language proficiency: I speak 5 languages (English + 4 of them are regional Indian languages), Basic level Korean, and am planning to learn Mandarin soon.
