Very right, even I am worried about how realistic a part time MBA would be. I spoke to a few alumni of Mannheim and HHL who have returned back to their home countries because they could not find a job in Germany. Language was a biggest hurdle and all of them advised me not to leave the current job that I have in hand and pursue a part time course.They mentioned that in Germany there is no difference between a part time and a full time study in the eyes of the companies but definitely you learn more in full time course. This feedback is one of the reason I am settling for a part time course. Though I wish I could go for a full time next year.
What do you have to say from your experience?

Focus on your language skills. Maybe move to Mannheim and study German intensively alongside your job hunt and the part-time MBA. Also look at the WHU part-time MBA.

WHU appeals more to me than Mannheim and HHL. I would get in touch with them and clarify my doubts about the program. Thanks will get back to you soon.

How would you compare St Gallen in comparison to other German MBA colleges ? As St Gallen is also in the German speaking area.
The fee for the part time course is almost double than the colleges in Germany. Is it worth an investment ?

You can search the board for comments on St Gallen. It's a great school; you can see from the salaries that it's fairly priced.

Interesting discussion I just went through the Websites of Offenburg IBC and Furtwangen , both are accredited . Where from this notion comes that they are not accredited .

Every MBA is accredited by someone; in the terms of this website (see http://www.find-mba.com/accreditations ) we are talking about internationally-recognised accreditation, which reflects higher than average standards. As this useful article explains (http://www.zeit.de/2011/39/C-MBA-Akkreditierung) national accreditation reflects minimum levels. They are not the same thing.

Does an internationally accredited MBA guarantee a job for a student. After interacting with more than 20 students passing out from various HS ( dont compare Mannheim and ESMT ) (they have different channels of grooming students and industry interface, alumni base etc, ) , its pretty clear to me that a Job offer is solely dependent on qhat is your work ex, what kind of job are available and what is your language skills. German language is a must along with one or two more european languages makes your chances of getting a job. Accreditations should not be considered at all while advising a student or the student himself should be aware what accreditation means. an Accreditation means quality of education. in terms of that both national and international parameters of judging and organization are same. We must give clear and fair facts to students.

That is simply not true. To be accredited by AACSB, AMBA, or EQUIS, a school must go consistent processes by which curriculum and faculty are rigorously vetted; this can take *years* to complete. There is no national accreditation system that I can think of which will require the same commitment, and virtually none will ensure the same level of quality that the international business accreditations foster.

And really, the proof is in the pudding: how many business schools that aren't FT-ranked *don't* have these accreditations? Maybe McGill and that's it, and that's a global exception.

Ok. Please do a comparison of international accredited schools placement and and local accredited schools placement. Do your ground work. dont give International references like FT , BT , CT etc ;-) Just contact people who have passed out from respective schools who came from international background and find out how many of them are working in management sector. how many completed management education and working in IT sector ( because of previous programming / development background ) and also correlate to their language skills.
