I had posted earlier this year on this forum & is currently considering a full time MBA in 2021. I am a Indian, Mechanical engineer, based in UAE for the last 10 years with an experience in project management 5 years & business development 5 years in core field. I only have a mediocre GMAT score of 610, but I have a first class in Engineering.
I am primarily interested in pursuing an MBA in UK. My goal is to move to a role of management consultant/ analyst or continue in business development in the country I learn. I intend to apply for UEBS & Durham. My budget is around 25k pounds. would you suggest applying to better schools such as Manchester/ Cass or Cranfield. These are way out of my budget and would require a scholarship to study there if i am selected.
Iam a bit apprehensive about current situation in scotland, I like Edinburgh but Iam not sure if there would be a Scottish/ UK independence movt. down the line and would I still be eligible for the 2 year stay back & opportunity to work in UK if Scotland leaves UK. Iam not sure if Scotland would offer job opportunities for expats like me in such a situation.
With this in mind & also thinking of managerial opportunities for a mechanical engineer, I have considered applying to German schools too. I have HHL, ESB & Pforzheim in mind. Iam German level A1 & I intend to be level B1 by the time I enter the school, studying full time on an intensive course over the next few months.
I would appreciate your kind inputs & thoughts on the above said. I could work to improve the GMAT score to around 650 if required.
