Frankfurt Master of Finance vs. St. Gallen MBF

I am looking at masters in finance programs in the DACH region. I wonder if anybody could offer any suggestions. These are the programs to which I am thinking about applying:

Frankfurt School of Finance & Management - Master of Finance
St. Gallen - Masters of Arts in Banking and Finance (MBF)

I took German as a foreign language in school and minored in it at university, I am pretty close to fluent. I have 1.5 years of experience in banking but not in DACH region.

My goal is to work in financial services in Germany. My question is, are these good schools where I can reasonably expect to do this? My other option that I am considering is to wait another year and then apply to the Mannheim MBA program or the Frankfurt MBA program.

I would say Frankfurt and then after working for a few years more take an MBA somewhere like Wharton or LBS.

Agreed While the St. Gallen program is great, if you want to work in Germany you should stick with a program in the country. In recent years, the St. Gallen program places some 80 percent of its grads in Switzerland and only about 9 percent in Germany.

You might also consider ESCP, it has a footprint in Germany and is ranked highly in the FT's Master in Finance ranking.

Good advice, thank you both! I like the idea of the Frankfurt program right now and then eventually a good MBA like Wharton or LBS.
