i'm in a similar situation, except that i've got a low gpa and am hoping to get a high gmat score. I'm looking for schools in Spain, they don't have to be the best, but something that's more 'easy' to get accepted into. Any ideas anyone??

There have been loads of discussions about Spanish b-school, also about others than the top 5.

But be aware, some Spanish schools seem to be more a rip off and of low quality, people discussed that also

I'm glad to know that I am not the only one with this situation. I see that most European schools do not look at the GMAT at all? Is this a sign that the final degree is a "rip off" as you called it, or of lower quality?

This is not true - most of them will want GMAT or equivalent, but you can certainly find some school that would not want it/overlook the low score. there are some very good schools in Europe, but you have to do some research...

generally speaking, if it is a good school, and it doesn't ask for GMAT, then the admission process would be even more competitive....

Yes, this confused me too. But under admission requirements for several schools I have found, "GMAT and TOEFL are not required for admission to the MBA Programme, but will positively reflect on your admission application."

Low GMAT, Good GPA - NO PROBLEM

If you are looking to get into an MBA program and have low GMAT scores treat this like a business problem. You MUST get to know, personally, the people in admissions in the University you want to attend, and SELL YOURSELF to them. Let them know what your DIFFERENTIALS are, and keep trying to close the deal with them. YOu will get in even if it is on probation, where you have to prove yourself. Ask yourself now, do you even KNOW the people who will be taking your application to the committee? If the answer is no, make some phone calls (Skype is cheap and can call land lines) and then sell yourself.

Good luck you can do it. you just have to prove if you have what it takes to get an MBA a bit earlier than the other guys.

hey with that GPA and GMAT score you can apply in MBS.
me to applying this year. have not given GMAT but might have to if required.
the entry requirments states that a minimum cgpa of 3 on 4, 2 yrz wrk ex, min 450-500 gmat score and interview.
a candidate must have 2 outa the 4 mentioned.

do confront with the college and let me know anything which comes your way in this regard.
