Bro, If you are IT it should not be a problem for you to pass GMAT. Also: there are no realy good MBA programs without GMAT. Even those schools that accept GRE instead of GMAT are usualy suscipious. Without GRE/GMAT - no ways.

Also, Germany has only two ranked MbA programs. Work permits in EU are harder to obtain than in permits in US, Canada or Australia. Economic situation in EU is worse. Fluent German is highly reccomended in order to find a job in Germany after graduation.

Yes, you should take the GMAT. Even beyond the ranked schools, most of the ones that offer internationally accredited MBA programs, ESMT, Mannheim, Frankfurt, WHU, HHL, EBS, Pforzheim, etc., all require the GMAT.
The sole exception, I believe, is HWR in Berlin. If you're dying to apply to that program and that program only, then you probably can get away with not taking the GMAT.
Oh, if you already have a degree from Germany, Austria or Switzerland, you can apply to the Pforzheim MBA without the GMAT.
