The Weatherhead school is a much better choice. At Thunderbird, far smaller percentage of graduates find work by the end f the first few months after graduation.

Thank you Duncan for the quick reply. Other than the placement issue (which rather is crucial for me), can you please give me some idea about the quality of education in the two schools?
I have the perception that finance is much better at case western as their undergrad finance ranking is no. 1.

The quality of professors will be similar. The quality of the students, however, is lower at Thunderbird because it is a less selective school. So, the education will be worse because of that.

I'd agree with Duncan's general points.

You're right about Weatherhead's proximity to the biopharma firms. You might even be able to arrange an internship with one while you're there.

One thing you'll want to start thinking about is where you want to end up after graduation. If you did want to end up in Cleveland, then Weatherhead is a good choice. However, Thunderbird's career services are more internationally-oriented, so if your ambitions are global, then that might be a good choice. You'd be able to do an internship in the Thunderbird program as well.

You might want to check with each program and ask about graduates with your chosen career path, and where they are now.

Other than that, BusinessWeek ranks them pretty closely, and only the Thunderbird program shows up in the FT rankings (although this is probably due to the program's global focus, as I mentioned earlier.)

how is thunderbird emba in Geneve? I've been talking a bit with their adcom and I've never heard so much enthusiasm (even Tiasnimbas.....:-) By the way their cost is quite outstanding, especially with eur dropping against usd, and very similar to whu-kellogg... is the quality similar or comparable?

Well, I don't see how the quality can be the same -- the quality of the school and the students will be much lower.
